SDG Forum 2019

After the success of the first edition, we knew there had to be a second SDG Forum. Get inspired this year by a fascinating keynote speaker, thematic workshops, info booths and countless networking opportunities, facilitated by the SDG Bingo.

On 24 September, The Shift is organising the SDG Forum 2019, together with the Antwerp Management School, the University of Antwerp, FIDO (Belgium's Federal Institute of Sustainable Development), the VBO (Union of Belgian Businesses) SPW Développement Durable and other partners.

After the SDG Forum's successful first edition, get ready for countless thematic workshops, info booths and fun networking opportunities at this year's edition – all enhanced by our SDG Bingo game and an inspiring keynote lecture by guest speaker John Elkington.

This year The Shift has once again the pleasure of organising the SDG Bingo, as well as an inspiring workshop on due diligence together with the VBO/FEB. In addition, Generation T - together with Conseil de la Jeunesse and Jeugdraad - will give a workshop on the very hot topic of sustainable fashion. The day will be concluded with a keynote of Stefan Crets, an intervention by Alexander De Croo and Jean-Pascale Van Ypersele live from the SDG Summit in New York and a word by Minister of Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development, Marie-Christine Marghem.

For whom?

Everyone is welcome! This event belongs to everyone, is for everyone and by everyone. The SDGs are first and foremost a story written by us. Every individual, every organisation and every government has something to contribute, no matter which level you're at. The SDGs let us think outside the box: ideally, they result in surprising partnerships that help us solve our shared challenges.

Why participate?

Learn more about the various SDGs, meet like-minded people from all parts of society (regardless of your prior knowledge), take part in workshops that let you deep-dive into specific topics, and – above all – find out how you too can contribute to a sustainable, liveable future for all.
