Do you report on non-financial information and want to integrate the SDG framework into it? Get your inspiration from the GRI guidelines and experienced companies!
Companies and organizations increasingly use the UN Agenda for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as the basis for their sustainability strategy. That is why it is important to integrate this framework in non-financial corporate reporting. After thorough analysis, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) has developed guidelines to help companies with integrated reporting.
Learning from GRI and sharing experiences during a seminar
During a seminar on 28 November, organized by The Shift, VBO-FEB, IBR-IRE and GRI, around 120 people learned more about integrating the SDG framework into the GRI guidelines. Elena Perez, who is responsible for Corporate and Stakeholder Engagement at GRI, started by presenting the GRI analysis and guidelines. Then, in the panel debate moderated by PwC, which followed, Triodos Bank, Solvay and Befimmo shared their experiences.
Reporting on the SDGs
In cooperation with UN Global Compact, GRI has developed the action platform Business Reporting on the SDGs. Here, companies can find tips and inspiration for reporting on their contribution to the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals.
