Target group: Members of our network and young people between the ages of 18 and 35 who are at the forefront of the sustainable transition
Initiator(s): The Shift in cooperation with Act4Change
Sustainable Development Goal(s): 17. Partnerships for the goals
Priorities for change: Transversal
- Stimulating cooperation and exchange between our members and young people who are leading the way towards a sustainable transition
- Letting young people who are behind innovative, sustainable projects challenge our members and projects
- Enriching and diversifying our network by inviting young people to inspire our members
The Shift and Act4Change believe the world needs young people’s energy and creativity to make the transition to fairer, more environmentally friendly society. That is why the Generation T network has brought together over 350 adolescents from different sectors since 2015, including from civil society, academia and the public and private sector. As we’re approaching Generation T’s fourth anniversary, the network’s founders want to support 30 young people by helping them develop their skills, increasing their visibility and putting them in touch with other relevant stakeholders.
That is why we selected 30 young transition-pioneers who represent their critical generation and are eager to engage in dialogue with other individuals/organisations. For one entire year, these young people will get to challenge our team, our projects and the members of our network. They’ll share their points of view and innovative ideas through workshops, multi-stakeholder projects and CEO Challenges. At the same time, we will encourage these 30 young pioneers to develop their skills and set up joint projects together.
Members of our network and young people between the ages of 18 and 35 who are at the forefront of the sustainable transition.
The Shift wants to facilitate interaction between organisations looking to become more sustainable and a group of young experts active in the same field. The diverse range of profiles within this group of young pioneers will allow challenges to be approached from different angles.
It’s a win-win situation. On the one hand, the project gives CEOs the opportunity to be challenged by young transition-pioneers, who will question established ways of thinking, inspire CEOs with ‘out of the box’ ideas and help them come up with sustainable solutions. On the other hand, The Shift wants to give these 30 young people the chance to connect with likeminded individuals and organisations who can help them develop their projects and create new partnerships.
Are you a member of The Shift who has developed a new CSR strategy that you’d like to get an outside opinion on? Or perhaps you will soon be launching a new project and are eager to make it as sustainable as possible? Do you want to be challenged by young transition-pioneers who are innovative thinkers and experts in their field?
Then don’t hesitate to contact Catherine.
